About the service
At Juniors Wireless, LLC, we provide expert medium voltage wire termination services for electrical systems ranging from 1kV to 35kV. Proper terminations are critical for ensuring the long-term safety, performance, and reliability of medium voltage cable systems in both new installations and system upgrades.
Our technicians are trained and certified to work with a wide range of cable types and termination kits, including heat shrink, cold shrink, and molded solutions. We follow precise procedures to ensure each termination meets manufacturer specifications and industry standards, reducing the risk of failure, arcing, or insulation damage.
Services offered
- Terminations for 5kV, 15kV, and 35kV systems
- Indoor and outdoor terminations (Class I and II)
- Heat shrink, cold shrink, and molded technologies
- Cable preparation, shielding, and insulation checks
- Torqueing and connection of lugs and bushings
- Megger and hi-pot testing
- Grounding and bonding per NEC and IEEE standards
- Typical Applications:
- Switchgear and transformer connections
- Pad-mounted and pole-mounted equipment

Popular questions
What Types of Cable Termination Methods Do You Offer?
We provide heat shrink, cold shrink, and pre-molded terminations, depending on the system voltage, environment, and client specifications.
Can You Perform Terminations on Energized Equipment?
No. For safety reasons, all termination work is performed on de-energized equipment. However, we are trained to work in energized environments under controlled shutdowns.
Do You Provide Testing After Termination?
Yes. We perform insulation resistance (megger) and hi-pot testing to verify the integrity of each termination before the system is energized.
How Long Does a Typical Termination Take?
Depending on the cable size, voltage rating, and termination type, a typical termination can take 1 to 3 hours per end, including preparation and testing.
Are Your Technicians Certified for Medium Voltage Work?
Yes. All technicians performing medium voltage terminations are trained and certified in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, OSHA standards, and client safety requirements.
